How Should I Prepare My Watch for Sale?

Proper preparation helps you get the best value for your watch. Follow these simple steps before sending it to us.

Before You Ship

Take Quality Photos

Capture clear photos of: dial, case, crown, clasp, serial number, and any flaws. Good photos = accurate quote.

Gather Accessories

Collect original box, papers, warranty cards, service records, and receipt if available.

Check Functionality

Note if the watch is running, needs service, or has any mechanical issues. Be honest about condition.

Document Everything

Write down reference number, serial number, and any service history. Keep copies of all documents.

Important: Don't Polish It!

Avoid polishing or refinishing the watch yourself. Professional polishing can actually decrease value if done incorrectly. Leave it as-is.

Packaging Tips

  • Use the original box if available
  • Wrap the watch in soft cloth or bubble wrap
  • Place in a sturdy outer box
  • Include all accessories in separate bags
